Falls Church, VA. March 8, 2016. The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has released its preliminary determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of welded stainless steel pressure pipe from India.

The DOC has calculated the following preliminary CVD margins:

(1) Steamline Industries Limited – 2.96%

(2) Sunrise Stainless Private Limited, Sun Mark Stainless Pvt. Ltd., and Shah Foils Ltd. – 6.21%

(3) All other Indian producers/exporters – 4.55%

The DOC will instruct U.S. Customs to collect the preliminary CVD duties on imports of welded stainless steel pressure pipe from India that were entered on or after the publication of the preliminary CVD determination in theFederal Register englishcollege.com. We expect that this determination will be published later this week or next week.

The DOC’s final determination in the CVD investigation has been aligned with the final determination in the companion antidumping (AD) investigation of welded stainless steel pressure pipe from India.

The DOC’s preliminary determination in the AD investigation is due on May 3, 2016, and the current deadline for the final determinations in both investigations is July 18, 2016 – although the latter date could be extended.
